Terms for Ork Meter and Ork Bot for Discord.
These terms are a contract between you and Enterprise DevOps Solutions LLC. You accept them when you create an Ork Meter account, pair the helper, or use Ork Bot for Discord. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Our Privacy Policy describes the data the Service handles and is part of these terms.
1. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and located in the United States to create an account. You confirm this when you register; we do not collect a date of birth or identity documents.
- If you use the Service for an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind it to these terms.
- You sign in with a GitHub identity. You are responsible for that identity, for keeping its credentials to yourself, and for every helper you pair with your account.
- Each account belongs to one person and has one private workspace. Do not create additional accounts to evade free-period, free-tier or plan limits.
2. What the Service does
Ork Meter shows the AI usage your tools consume. It reports measured usage, token estimates from rates we have reviewed, and charges your providers report, and keeps these distinct. The Service reports evidence. It does not certify a bill.
Ork Meter Plus adds optional features described on orkmeter.com. Prompt classification is not currently offered. If we introduce it, it will be optional, off by default, and subject to separate notice and your explicit consent (section 6).
3. Plans, fees and the free period
3.1 Plans. Each plan is for one person and one account.
- Ork Meter: US$9.99 per month, or US$100 per year.
- Ork Meter Plus: US$20 per month, or US$200 per year. This is the total price and includes Ork Meter; Plus does not add a second base charge.
Prices exclude taxes, which are calculated at checkout. These are Ork Meter software fees. They are separate from, and never include, what you pay your AI providers.
3.2 Introductory free period. Each new account receives, once, starting at its original signup: (a) Ork Meter Plus features for the first 7 days; then (b) Ork Meter base features until day 30. The free period is measured in elapsed UTC time. It does not restart when you sign in again, reconnect, reinstall, link another sign-in provider, change preferences or make a purchase, and it does not renew. No payment card is required, and nothing is charged automatically when the free period ends.
3.3 Permanent free tier. After day 30, unless you buy a plan, your account continues on a free tier limited to one selected client connection, for example Claude Code or Codex. Your first selection is free. You may change your selection twice per UTC calendar month. Helpers for other clients are paused, not deleted. We may change or withdraw the free tier for new accounts, and for existing accounts on notice under section 13.
3.4 Purchase and renewal. A paid plan starts only when you complete a purchase through our hosted Stripe checkout. We never convert a free period into a charge. Paid purchasing is not yet available on orkmeter.com; when it is enabled, these terms apply to it. Once purchased, a paid plan renews automatically at the end of each monthly or annual period, at the price shown when you bought it, until you cancel. The renewal terms are shown again at checkout before you confirm.
4. Cancellation, changes and refunds
- Cancellation. Cancelling stops future renewals. Paid features continue until the end of the period you already paid for. You cancel from your plan page on orkmeter.com where that control is offered, or by emailing edos-labs@edos.io.
- Upgrades and downgrades. An upgrade from Ork Meter to Plus takes effect immediately, with a prorated charge shown before you confirm. A downgrade takes effect at the next renewal. Changing between monthly and annual billing requires a new purchase review.
- Refunds. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or where we decide otherwise at our discretion. Cancellation alone does not produce a refund; refund requests are reviewed by a person.
- Failed payment. A failed renewal does not shorten a period you already paid for. When paid access ends, your account returns to the free phase set by its original signup date (section 3.3).
- Account deletion cancels any subscription immediately, without an automatic refund (section 10).
5. Data the Service processes
- Usage metadata. The helper sends allow-listed metadata about completed AI requests: source, request ID, model, timestamp, token counts by category, any provider-reported charge, and the attribution labels attached to the helper credential. The helper does not send prompts, completions, conversations, email addresses or source code. The schema rejects those fields. Optional work and outcome records contain an opaque repository reference, a commit identifier, numeric diff statistics and the effort assumptions you supply; they contain no code or commit messages.
- Labels. Do not put personal information, usernames, email addresses, repository URLs or source text into free-form attribution labels.
- Inference traffic goes directly between you and your provider. Ork Meter never holds your provider credentials.
- Ownership and licence. You keep ownership of the data your helpers send. You grant EDOS a licence to store, process and display it to provide the Service to you. Our handling of data, including retention and deletion, is described in the Privacy Policy. A data processing addendum is available on request at edos-labs@edos.io.
6. Prompt classification (Plus)
No shipped version of Ork Meter sends the text of your prompts anywhere. Plus preference settings may be available, but external prompt classification is not offered. If we enable it, it will require your explicit consent on a separate screen, a privacy screen before any external processing, and an update to these terms and the Privacy Policy naming the processor. You will be able to withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal applies to requests started after the change, because a request already sent cannot be recalled.
7. Acceptable use
You will not:
- share, publish or embed helper or reporting credentials, including in URLs, screenshots or support messages;
- send prompts, responses, source code, credentials or other people's personal data through the helper or in labels;
- attempt to access another account's workspace, or circumvent rate limits, plan limits or free-tier limits;
- scrape provider session cookies or private authentication tokens to feed the Service;
- probe, overload or interfere with the Service, or resell it without our written agreement;
- use Ork Bot to send unsolicited content;
- use the Service in violation of law, including laws on monitoring employees or other individuals. If you measure usage on behalf of others, you are responsible for any notice or consent they are owed.
We may suspend or limit an account that breaks these rules or threatens the Service.
8. Estimates and outputs
- Cost estimates are calculated from rates we have reviewed and are estimates. Provider-reported charges are values supplied in your provider's metadata. We have not reconciled them to your invoice; discounts, credits, taxes, subscriptions and unconnected traffic can make your invoice differ.
- Where evidence is missing, the Service shows the value as unknown, not zero.
- Included-plan allocations are not charges.
- Any ROI or time-saved figure is a scenario based on assumptions you supply, not a measured saving.
- Work attribution links consumption to work items. It does not prove that any output token became deployed code.
- Plus recommendations, when offered, are classifier output. They may be wrong and are not evidence of savings.
You are responsible for decisions you make using the Service.
9. Ork Bot for Discord
- Ork Bot is a Discord application operated by EDOS. Your use of Discord is governed by Discord's terms and policies; Ork Bot is not affiliated with or endorsed by Discord.
- Ork Bot uses slash commands only, requests no server permissions, and stores nothing about you or your server, as described in the Privacy Policy. Its commands are free and do not require an account.
- Ork Bot talks only to Ork Meter. It never executes code, runs agents, or acts on any system on your behalf.
- We may change, suspend or withdraw Ork Bot or any command at any time. Future features such as account linking will be described in these terms and in the Privacy Policy before they launch.
10. Suspension, termination and your data afterwards
- You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard. Deletion revokes access immediately, cancels any subscription without an automatic refund, and schedules removal of your active data within 7 days. Backups expire within 35 days after that. Billing records we must keep for accounting are retained separately from your workspace data. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
- Export what you need before you delete. The Service offers a usage export and a workspace snapshot; it is not a complete archive service.
- We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or that threatens the Service, the data of others, or EDOS. Where practical we will tell you why.
- Sections 5, 8, 12, 13 and 14 survive termination.
11. Support and availability
Support is described on the support page. Ork Meter is provided as is and as available, with no uptime or response-time commitment. We may change features, limits and prices with notice on orkmeter.com. Where a capability described on the site is not yet active, the site says so; we do not represent an inactive capability as live.
12. Intellectual property and feedback
The Service, the helper and the Ork Meter and Ork Bot names are owned by EDOS or its licensors. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the helper and the Service under these terms. You may send us feedback; we may use it without obligation to you. You keep ownership of your data (section 5).
13. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, EDOS disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of usage figures, estimates or reported charges. EDOS is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from decisions you make on the basis of Ork Meter reports. EDOS's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits; where that is the case, they apply only as far as the law permits.
14. Governing law and disputes
[Governing law and venue: to be set by counsel]
Before starting a formal dispute, contact us at edos-labs@edos.io; we will try to resolve it with you directly.
15. Changes to these terms
We will post changes here with a new date. Continued use after a change means you accept it. Material changes to paid plans will be announced before they apply to an existing subscription.
